Last-time-out scorers Alfred and Palazzo Persico also warrant respect, assuming their change in scenarios (trip/grade) are handled.

It is noteworthy that Richard Hannon went to 32,000gns to buy Gaiden back at the sales as her three latest efforts have been disappointing. Her early-season form is particularly strong though and she can’t be ignored now down in class and up in trip. South Kensington is 3lb well in after her near miss over C&D last week and has to be high on the list, but she was no match for ELEGANT APPEAL (nap) at Newcastle last month and Karl Burke’s filly, who took a significant step forward with cheekpieces fitted, remains capable of better.

The similar types Pitney and Leveret remain of interest, while Lady Pagasa is another major player on form and Zipster (second choice) is interesting upped in distance. However, this open-looking novice event may go to SUNNY STREET who should build on his Kempton debut effort. As regards the newcomers, any positive market moves should be heeded.
18:00 Rosa Applause
In form terms, the very similar types ROSA APPLAUSE (narrowly preferred) and Disclosure tower above the others with experience. Heed the market signals with regard to the newcomers Alabama Belle and See You Tonight.
18:30 Moonfire
Closely matched rivals Havana Ball (narrow second choice) and Mrs Morrell help to set the form standard, while Stars Away has possibilities granted progress for her new yard. However, they’re up against a potentially useful filly in well-bred newcomer MOONFIRE, whose good claims will be cemented if strong in the betting.
19:00 Nolton Cross
Nicely handicapped and back at Wolverhampton, NOLTON CROSS holds particularly strong claims. Chillingham, whose sole 1m6f effort represents a strong piece of form, is feared most ahead of Sonnerie Power who could prove another shrewd purchase for The Horse Watchers. Barenboim and Prydwen may prove best of the remainder.
19:30 Musical Mystery
Ecclesiastical was as good as ever when justifying support over C&D last time and he’s strongly respected, but preference is for MUSICAL MYSTERY who made it 3-4 for Ed Dunlop when scoring at Chelmsford two weeks ago and is open to more progress on this drop back in trip. Thaki looks interesting if he can repeat the form of his close second at Newcastle last Wednesday, while others who could be dangerous are Cooperation and Beauty Choice.
20:00 Never Dark
Clearpoint still has potential and his latest run at Kempton is easy to strike a line through. Ancient Times could revive off a dangerous mark with the tongue-tie now returned but NEVER DARK gets the nod. This season’s best efforts stack up nicely and he showed a real aptitude for these conditions last winter.
20:30 Way Of Life
Sanction should benefit from today’s return to a shorter trip and she ought to make a bold bid, while Bohemian Breeze can bounce back from a quiet run at Kempton and Noble Anthem also comes into the reckoning. WAY OF LIFE has been banging at the door around here this autumn though and he may be able to give the weight away.
