13:10 Cheltenham – Tellherthename
This point-to-point winner sold for £200k and TELLHERTHENAME made a cracking hurdles debut when beaten a nose at Ascot by the well-touted Jango Baie and they were 13 lengths clear of the third.
If he improves from that it will take a good one to beat him.
13:20 Navan – Croke Park
CROKE PARK is a big unit who found decent ground and the tight track against him at Kilbeggan on his bumper debut. He bumped into a good one in You Oughta Know there anyway, who easily beat Toto Too under a penalty on his next start at Galway.
Croke Park was very impressive on his hurdles debut at Clonmel over two miles on heavy ground, galloping on strongly.
He will improve hugely for stepping up in trip here and we won’t see the best of him until he gets up to three miles.
14:32 Navan – Macs Charm
MACS CHARM won his first three starts in handicaps over hurdles, winning here off 104 over 2m 4f. He’s lightly raced for an eight year old with only 12 starts under Rules.
He showed plenty on his first three starts over fences, including finishing second to Grandero Bello and Ain’t That A Shame before winning well on handicap debut at Fairyhouse when stepping up to 3m off a mark of 135.
He beat Sir Bob who recently won the Cork National and the forecasted ground shouldn’t be an issue for Macs Charm and he might be the one to put it up to the Gordon Elliott brigade.

14:55 Cheltenham – Jonbon
Edwardstone, Editeur Du Gite and Nuge Negra all involved here so it’s going to be a belter of a race but JONBON won in open company as a novice in the Grade 1 Celebration Chase and should take all the beating.
15:30 Cheltenham – Iberico Lord
Nicky Henderson and JP McManus rely on IBERICO LORD while Henderson has Luccia running here too.
Iberico Lord went to Nicky after winning on bumper debut in France. He was disappointing initially over hurdles but did win on his third start over jumps at Stratford in April when beating the likes of Beau Balko, Jupiter Du Gite, Samuel Spade and Alien Storm in what was a strong novice hurdle.
He was a half length second to Under Control in a novices handicap hurdle final at Sandown on the final day of the jumps season and the form of that contest has held up really well. Arqoob was six lengths back n third and won easily at Sandown recently off the same mark. The fourth General Madrano has won twice since over fences and the sixth, Tapley, won at Kempton this week while Celtic Art was pulled up in that contest and won this week at Lingfield
Iberico Lord went up 6lbs for that second at Sandown but that it is very strong form so he gets the vote.
