It’s a decent standard that is set by DANCING CITY who looked like a nice prospect in bumpers last term and he should relish going up in trip on hurdle bow. Stellar Story looks like the main danger with his bumper form also working out nicely.

After winning on similar ground on his seasonal debut, ASK ANYTHING, could be the way to go with the chance of him coming on for that run. Harvard Guy and Mighty Jeremy could both go well if ready on their return. Having been in good form on the Flat of late, Elusive Guy, could be involved back over timber.

12:55 Big Island

Plenty in with claims including the J P McManus owned Top Moon who has become very well treated and his first-string Roseys Hollow won’t mind the testing ground. However, from the bottom of the handicap, BIG ISLAND, could go well. He’s been running well on the Flat of late and he hit the crossbar when last seen over timber.

13:30 Whats Up Darling

The testing ground may help bring WHATS UP DARLING‘s stamina into play and he’s entitled to come on from last month’s promising return at Limerick. Stablemate Dee Capo won’t mind these conditions but She’s A Fine Wine looks like the main danger after her win on yard debut last month.

14:05 Zanahiyr (NAP)

Though he ran terribly in this race last year, ZANAHIYR (NAP) rediscovered his best form after and comes into this renewal with a win under his girth, so will be difficult to beat. Previous winners Home By The Lee and Sire Du Berlais will have to be at their best under Grade 1 penalties. Last year’s runner-up Bob Olinger could shake them all up if near his best.

14:40 Dysart Dynamo

With a particularly good record when fresh, DYSART DYNAMO can make the most of the weight he receives from his penalised stablemate Saint Roi and last year’s winner Captain Guinness. Last year’s runner-up Riviere D’Etel is a player too if back to her best.

15:15 Facile Vega

A mouthwatering beginners’ chase. It is difficult to oppose the top-class FACILE VEGA on his chasing debut after reports that he has schooled well over fences. He was 3l ahead of the classy Inthepocket in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham and can confirm the form, though that rival has the experience of winning a point.

Jack Kennedy prefers Saint Felicien over Sa Fureur, so he can be the best of the Elliott pair.

15:50 My Trump Card

Though it is a concern that MY TRUMP CARD hasn’t been seen since showing ability in a strong maiden hurdle at this track a year ago, his yard is in tremendous form and he has the raw ability to win this. Point winner Springt De La Mare is a big danger, while Tommies Call and Apple’s Of Bresil have shown ability in bumpers and can be involved.
