16:17 – King Of Ithaca (NAP)
Preference is for KING OF ITHACA (nap), who has very solid course form for his new yard and could well improve further. Mezzo Soprano, a promising type who bids to remain unbeaten, is feared most. Jade Country and Capuchinero are interesting off their current marks.
16:52 – Age Of Baroque
Having made promising debut over this C&D, AGE OF BAROQUE holds the strongest claims. Ciro Di Marzio, who appears likely to improve plenty on his Leicester effort, is second choice ahead of Cynosure who looks another interesting once-raced contender. Odonnell’s Orchard holds leading claims on his peak turf figure but seems flattered by that rating.
17:25 – Imperial Guard
As in the first division, preference is for a colt who finished a promising third over C&D 19 days ago. IMPERIAL GUARD is the horse in question this time, and he’s comfortably clear on bare figures. Important Role (second choice), Endosser and Publicity look best of the others with experience, since they are likely to improve sharply on their debut efforts. As for the newcomers, any positive market moves should be heeded.
18:00 – Tamfana
This doesn’t look a strong maiden. TAMFANA might well have won at Ffos Las had that race panned out better and she edges preference. Middlesex is respected with a bit more experience in the bag, while Green Sigma and Happy Place are unlikely to be far away.

18:30 – Blown Away
The return to AW could be a big positive for BLOWN AWAY, who impressed on the Chelmsford Polytrack last month prior to his underwhelming nursery debut on turf at Newmarket. The same move could also be a major benefit for C&D winner Rosenzoo and he is feared most ahead of Mafnood and L’Ennemi.
19:00 – Sherood
Judged on the strength of his maiden/novice form, SHEROOD remains of major interest and is well worth another chance in this second handicap attempt. King Of The Dance, who may have more to offer in the retained cheekpieces, is second choice ahead of Lordsbridge Girl who has a solid C&D record. The relatively big field may not be ideal for the front-running Port Erin but he otherwise has an attractive profile, while a few others also have possibilities.
19:30 – Barrier
Royal runner BARRIER belied her 33-1 odds with a good effort at Goodwood four months ago and that form has received a few boosts since. She gets the vote on her return to action, ahead of Glorious Lion who is a similar type. Mount Olympus has crept up the weights but is doing very well for his new stable.
20:00 – Dark Side Thunder
There are some in-form contenders to consider, along with Treacherous who is a seven-time course winner. DARK SIDE THUNDER made it 2-2 here when winning over C&D in March and earns the vote having returned from a break with a good second at Yarmouth last time. Skallywag Bay is 2-2 on AW and is second choice, while Golden Duke and Nogo’s Dream are others to consider.
20:30 – Magicinthemaking
Now she’s back over 7f, it’s unlikely that MAGICINTHEMAKING will go off quite as fast as she did over 6f here last time, which all things considered was a very good effort. White Mist continues to give the impression that she’s a winner in waiting and is second choice. No News is another with claims.
