Third in the Galway Hurdle and fifth in the Irish Cesarewitch, MY MATE MOZZIE will be hard beat if he puts in an error-free round on his chasing debut. Annexation is arguably second-best on hurdles form but has plenty to find with Kiki Badger on Galway running. Stilyker is rated 34lb inferior to My Mate Mozzie over hurdles.
If he runs close to the form of his third in last season’s Grade 2 Ten Up Novice Chase at Navan, FLANKINGMANEUVER (nap) will be hard to beat and he has run well fresh more than once. Genois has an edge in race fitness and experience over many of these and should give a good account.
The consistent GALON DE VAUZELLE is due a turn over fences and may get it here, the form of his Listowel second having been boosted since. C’est Quelqu’un, on a hat-trick after dead-heating at Downpatrick, probably has more to offer and looks a danger.
The two bumper winners stand out and the experienced STORMALONG, even if her mark of 107 doesn’t set the bar that high, is preferred to Meet My Loreley who is starting out over hurdles.
Rated 95 on the Flat, DAME RAPIDE may prove equal to the task in her first handicap hurdle. There may be some doubt about her ability to show her best form on soft, and she could be tested by two other last-time-out winners, Sligo handicap chase scorer Clever Currency and Must Meet Cecil, successful in a claiming hurdle at Bellewstown.
With the difference in claiming allowances factored in, BANADA BRIDGE can be fancied to reverse Monday’s C&D form with Sayitfirst. Depeche Mo has a chance against the selection on Wexford running.
Galway festival runner-up ARCTIC GALE has been found a winnable contest and is the one to beat. A La Carte is likely much better than she showed on debut and is feared.
