I’m with Rosallion for Richard Hannon, who was really impressive at Ascot and the soft ground at Doncaster last time out was his undoing. I’m not sold on Unquestionable and I’m siding with Rosallion, who wants good ground.
Darnation impressed at Doncaster on soft ground last time out but I kept coming back to Opera Singer for Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien. There’s no shame in being beaten by A Lilac Rolla and that happened at the Curragh in August – and that form has held up. She bounced back and beat Brilliant by 6 1/2 lengths. I fancy her to go well again.
I can see why people keep landing on Ace Impact but my worry is the preparation. I would have loved for him to have a run in early September. He never ran as a two-year-old either so that prep isn’t ideal. I’m willing to take him on with Simca Mille at a huge price. I like his form and he had an impressive win at Hoppegarten in the Grosser Preis von Berlin in August. He won at Chantilly and Longchamp before that too.
Al Husn finished ahead of Above The Curve, Nashwa and Blue Rose Cen at Goodwood in August and I fancy him to go well again. Jim Crowley gave him a brilliant ride that day and he’s on board once more. Jackie Oh could also go well and run into a place. Al Husn and Jackie Oh are better value picks compared to Blue Rose Cen.
All of the names that jump out at you have poor draws so I’m with Equality for Charlie Hills. He was third at the Curragh behind Moss Tucker in the Group 1 Flying Five and he’s got a good draw. He’ll fly up the middle and in a wide-open race, he could impress.

It’s hard to get away from Kinross. He’s done so little wrong this year, he likes the ground and 7f suits him. What’s not to like?!
