Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:40 Goodwood Savvy Victory (attheraces.com)

Savvy Victory acts on soft; not exactly consistent this season and finished behind King Of Conquest at Haydock most recently; however, successful in Listed event at Sandown (beat a subsequent dual winner) the time before and looks interesting on that solid form; has won over C&D..

16:50 Goodwood Typewriter (Morning Star)

TYPEWRITER has won on soft; absent since finishing midfield in the 2m4f handicap at Glorious Goodwood; some creditable efforts otherwise this term, including in York Group 3 and the Queen Alexandra at Royal Ascot; on a ten-race losing sequence and doesn’t seem the easiest to place but has possibilities dropped back in trip/grade.

17:02 Redcar Lotus Rose (Liverpool Echo)

LOTUS ROSE was a C&D winner on good to firm last year; won off this mark at Thirsk in June (5f, good to soft) and sound run last time when third over 5.5f at Doncaster (good to soft); could go well.

17:05 Sligo Fighter Allen (Norwich Evening News)

Fair to say he’s been disappointing since beating decent mare at Tramore on third chase start; favourite to beat the likes of Fury Road and Vanillier in Grade 2 early last season but bombed out and nothing over fences since including twice last month; highest-rated and goes on heavy but opposable.
