13:20 – Surfers Paradise

With no Ballydoyle runner, Coolmore can still strike with SURFERS PARADISE, who has by far the best form and the beating of Marty The Party, for all that the Stack runner could feasibly improve and close the gap. It is hard to envisage any other winner.

13:50 – Taraj

The makings of a smart maiden given the pedigrees of newcomers Meteor Storm, No Knee Never and Versatile. TARAJ has the beating of House Of Aviz on course form so the latter’s stable buddy Gasper De Lemos is feared more under Ryan Moore.

14:25 – Dollerina

Caught U Looking has been absent for two months since impressing at Leopardstown and that’s a nagging concern in this hot race. Sakti has persuasive form claims after beating all bar subsequent Moyglare runner-up Vespertilio in the Debutante Stakes but it would be unwise to dismiss the sixth out of the race, DOLLERINA. She was well backed late on into 9-2 and yet a troubled passage up the far rail deprived her of any opportunity to do herself justice.

15:00 – Ocean Quest (NAP)

An all-Irish renewal after five British winners in six years. OCEAN QUEST (nap) is essentially a Group 1 filly contesting a Group 3 and she makes plenty of appeal after her swashbuckling performance at Naas. Further rain will only enhance her prospects further. Go Athletico looks a good bet to give his running and Shartash is a classy customer on his day who can be forgiven for his no-show here last time.

15:35 – Uncle Albert

UNCLE ALBERT was eye-taking at Sligo and surely wins races, though he may want an ease. Barley Cove might reverse Curragh form with fellow Footstepsinthesand-bred Vestigia.

16:10 – Chally Chute

Some familiar old faces feature in a fiendishly difficult handicap to unravel. Aidan O’Brien won this 12 months ago with a 3yo and Tower Of London must go well if over his exertions from finishing fourth in last week’s St Leger. St Vincents Garden is another youngster to bear in mind now granted a proper stamina test, while last year’s runner-up Echoes In Rain, British raider Novel Legend, Dawn Rising and Drop The Anchor all make the shortlist. However, CHALLY CHUTE remains dangerously unexposed and, when stamina could be his trump card, he ran a cracker over 1m4f at Galway on ground that would have been quick enough for him.

16:45 – Merlin Giant

Crassus must have a chance of only 7lb higher than when running away with the Ulster Cesarewitch and if the going gets tough, Maze Runner will be running on. MERLIN GIANT might be the way to go, as this useful handicap hurdler hasn’t had all that many opportunities on the Flat and physical excuses came to light after performing below market expectations off this mark at Leopardstown.

17:20 – Aurora Princess

AURORA PRINCESS can surely go close under Michael O’Neill after a pleasing Gowran run. Stuzzikini is a big danger for Viv Connolly.
