14:00 Derwent Boy
The three year old DERWENT BOY has shown promise during his short career and is taken to get off the mark at the sixth attempt. Gentle Ellen was in good form when last seen in June and July and is second choice. Last-time-out winner Grey Force One and One More Dream are other possible players along with Round The Island, who is bidding to win this race for the fourth time.
14:35 Power Of Zeus
Having won with something to spare at Ripon on his second start, POWER OF ZEUS is taken to defy a penalty and follow up. Golden Strike is an interesting newcomer for Richard Fahey and is second choice, while recent York fourth Bondy and debutant Forest Gunner are others who could run well.

15:10 Damascus Steel
The career of DAMASCUS STEEL was heading in the right direction until Bath last time, but things didn’t go his way there and he can bounce back with a big performance this afternoon. Fellow three year old Kittykarma prevailed in a big field at Thirsk last time and is feared most, ahead of Benadalid who is on a career-low mark.
15:45 Hello Queen (NAP)
The well-bred HELLO QUEEN (NAP) has won three of her five starts and can follow up her handicap debut victory at Doncaster in July. Glorious Angel (second choice) and Mersea arrive in fine form, while Unequal Love retains potential.
16:20 Manxman
There are positives about all of this small field but the three year old MANXMAN rather stands out, with his highly progressive form, a perfect record in turf handicaps and another demonstration of his stamina fresh in the memory from last week. John Berry’s pair Tarbat Ness and Dereham, preferred in that order, may present his chief obstacles.

16:55 Hosanna Power
Sir Michael Stoute runs two and this could go to HOSANNA POWER, who has been absent since last October but showed plenty of promise back then when runner-up on his debut at Doncaster. Stablemate Marching Band could also run well, while Talis Evolvere is a possible improver on his first run since being gelded, but the chief threat could come from Pearling Trail who caught the eye when fifth on his debut at Kempton.
17:30 Mother Mary
The very lightly raced three year old filly MOTHER MARY has shaped as though she will be suited by this step up to 1m and earns the vote on her handicap debut. Fellow three year old Dubawi Warrior retains potential and could be the main danger on his first run since being gelded. Mexicali Rose may have more to offer, while Tele Red could prove best of the older brigade.
