There are a few in here who could improve for the switch to the AW and/or step up in trip, such as Naturalia, Diddy Man, Ritzy and Newfangled. Preference, however, is for PINPOINT who knows how to win and was only beaten a head here 12 days ago. Fellow previous winner Rising Force, a clear second at Lingfield on Saturday, looks the main danger.

King Of Ithaca hasn’t had much luck in two runs here lately for his new yard and won’t mind the drop from 1m. He’s respected but PORT ERIN (nap) remains open to further improvement back on a faster surface and is fancied to make it 3-3 in handicaps off a mark just 2lb higher than at Ffos Las. Weydaad is capable of better if breaking on terms and settling.

An interesting novice for the time of year can go to VULTAR, who made a pleasing comeback from over a year off a month ago and who gets 7lb from impressive Lingfield winner Alexi Boy. Silvretta, who gets all the allowances as a maiden filly, is the other with obvious claims on her belated comeback, Electric Storm needing to improve a deal on her debut win under the penalty.
18:30 Highland Quartz
The consistent Atlantis Blue about sets the standard but she’s had nine cracks at it now and takes on a few potential improvers. Heavens To Betsy showed enough on soft ground at Goodwood three weeks ago to suggest she’ll play a part, but HIGHLAND QUARTZ shaped nicely on her Windsor debut, when alongside two subsequent winners, and will have learned from that experience.
19:00 Mountain Road
Study The Stars was allowed an easy lead on his belated comeback here ten days ago and the second quick start on his first crack at beyond 1m4f are two possible causes for concern. Hedonista (second choice) is respected, last month’s C&D fourth having been boosted by wins for the first three since, but MOUNTAIN ROAD, who’s far happier on Polytrack than turf, is back on his last winning mark and shades it.

19:30 Almarin
The unexposed Karakoy may yet have more to offer now handicapping, but the return to this trip might not be entirely in his favour. King Of The Dance is respected having got off the mark last time, as is C&D winner King Cabo back down in grade. However, ALMARIN may well have finished ahead of King Cabo here last month with a clearer run and, granted a bit more luck, could emerge on top this time. Red Treasure is another to consider now back off her last winning mark.
20:00 Lady of Arabia
Although C&D winner LADY OF ARABIA may prefer further now, her second of 14 back here last month showed that she is still capable of good form over this trip, so she is taken to come out on top. Dual C&D winner Solanna is another who has mainly been racing over further lately, but a solid pace would bring him right into it so he could provide the main danger. Photon and Giant are others to consider, but best of the others may be Red Hat Eagle who caught the eye with the way he finished at Lingfield last time. This extra furlong could suit him well.
20:30 Smart Charger
Largo Bay, whose course win this time last year came off an 11lb higher mark and who goes in a new form of headgear, and lightly raced Chelmsford winner Frankfreya (second choice) are two for the shortlist in a wide-open handicap. Goodwood Vision goes on there too, having offered more on her first crack at beyond 1m at Windsor a fortnight ago, but just behind that evening was SMART CHARGER, who came home nicely from a long way back and remains open to improvement.
