The likes of Instant Tendance and Mayor’s Walk are noteworthy hurdling debutants from big yards but dual bumper winner FOUR CLEAN ACES is worth another chance after tipping up at Ballinrobe on her first run over flights.

14:45 Chautuaqua

It may be worth taking a chance with CHAUTUAQUA on her first run since a good effort at Naas in March. She won a bumper first time out, a good omen for her chance after a break.

Likely dangers are Aeros Luck, Our Gal Sal, and Ivy Hall, dropped in trip after making the frame at Bellewstown last time. Lookondebrightside, second in this race last year, should be better for a recent run.

15:20 Flamborough

With his fitness advanced and a good 5lb claimer aboard, FLAMBOROUGH has a realistic chance of reversing recent Ballinrobe form with Charlie Luciano who has won four of his last five races over hurdles. Common Practice is potentially the class-act of the field on last season’s juvenile form and the same owner’s Sundial comes into the reckoning on his Fred Winter fourth.

15:55 The King Of Prs

Not much worthwhile recent form to focus on here, and it is possible that Charlies Pride will sustain the rate of improvement shown in winning at Kilbeggan. Golden Sandbanks has been in winning form on the Flat and over hurdles and is respected. However, an each-way vote goes to THE KING OF PRS who was his trainer’s second-string at Galway when doing well to finish fourth with Darkened back in sixth.

16:30 El Champo

He’s into a much better race here but EL CHAMPO won nicely on handicap debut at Kilbeggan and can continue the fine run of his trainer. Top weight Moonovercloon, Bynx and Clifftop all come here in form while Spring Meadow is an intriguing acquisition for a yard which targets this meeting.

17:05 Storm Mahler (NAP)

How gambled-on Downpatrick winner Anyway goes in the market will be fascinating but he has a lot more on his plate here after a big hike in the ratings. Eric McNamara does well at this meeting and Ballinrobe winner STORM MAHLER (NAP) may be able to follow up but it’s a highly competitive handicap and cases can be made for plenty of these.

17:40 Dancing Dame

Green when second at Killarney, DANCING DAME might go one better for her in-form yard. Tomavian also showed plenty on debut and is feared along with newcomers Luckinthecity and Janus Bede. Le Coq Hardi comes from a top point-to-point academy and is another to note.
