Chinese Knot is proven on the ground and while she has to step up to win, the extra half furlong looks like it can bring a bit more out of her. Ignore the run last time out as the quick ground went against her. Her record on ground with a bit of give is 3/1/1. Oisin Murphy is booked for the ride too.
Doncaster 14:25 – Dragon Leader
3 points to win
Dragon Leader was a super impressive winner for us last time out at York and is very hard to ignore. He gets 10lbs from Aidan O’Brien’s Johannes Brahms and although he hasn’t raced on anything softer yet, he could be very difficult to beat. He’s still open to plenty of progress and he’s the one to side with.
Doncaster 15:00 – See The Fire
1.5 points each way
We’re happy to take See The Fire each way just because most of the field are very unexposed and they could be anything. See The Fire is bred for this trip and did well to win on her debut, leaving behind a couple of subsequent winners. She has Group 1 and 2 entries, so she is clearly well regarded at home and open to plenty of improvement now stepping up to a mile. Darnation’s form does have question marks so she’s well worth taking on.
