Ascot maiden winner (6f, good to firm) as a 2yo; wasn’t beaten far in a Racing League handicap at Windsor (6f) before getting too far back dropped to 5f at Sandown; very capable of winning something like this.

20:30 Kempton – Mordor (Daily Star Sunday)

Unexposed 3yo who has shown promise behind useful rivals in novice events at Newcastle (1m2f, AW) and Doncaster (1m4f, good to firm) in last two starts; this is more realistic on handicap debut and he’s bred to be better than this opening mark; interesting contender.

15:00 Uttoxeter – Bumble Bee Bet (Cambridge Evening News)

Soundly beaten in two maiden hurdles last month (2m1f/2m4f) and comes here with questions to answer, but today’s race is easier and he looked promising when winning good-ground Ayr bumper on debut in April; will be feared if strong in the betting.
