FASTER BEE is definitely getting better with his racing and seemed to appreciate the extra yardage when running a huge race at a massive 40/1 at Newbury last time. His hold-up tactics will suit the style of the racing at this venue, and he can pick them up late in the day.
HALF NUTZ ran with the choke out in the early stages at Newcastle, and did really well to only get very tired late in the day. Given a more patient ride, he will be a danger to all in this line-up and it’s another solid opportunity for the Irish raiders to nick some more decent prize money.
HARTSWOOD has been a model of consistency since his return win at Thirsk earlier in the season and probably didn’t get the best of luck last time at Newcastle as he was all dressed up with nowhere to go once the pace increased. A mark of 79 is within his reach and the yard continue to do well in the Racing League.
GULLIVER didn’t produce over this trip at Ripon, but ran a bit of an eye-catching race last time at Thirsk when a never nearer fifth. Granted a stronger pace is needed to run at around this left-handed 6f trip.
He will definitely be thrusting home late in the day, there is no getting away from the fact that he is very well treated and will pop up soon.
CINNODIN has managed to win four times this season already and that winning run may well have not come to its end as of yet. If we look back at his last try he was super competitive off this mark of 77 and now gets the addition of the cheekpieces to help him focus. Stamina is definitely his strong point. He gets the 6lb weight-for-age allowance and can go close for trainer Richard Hughes.
MANILA SCOUSE put together easy, back-to-back successes at Haydock and Chepstow, where he wasn’t fully extended. He was slightly disappointing last time but he got knocked over in the early stages and in this 5f sprinting division, that’s very hard to overcome. We will give him an opportunity to bounce back as he is definitely better than that last effort.
ENEMY had a good early season for the Tracey Bell and Caroline Lyons operation in Dubai but has found life tougher in graded company since. He put up a good performance in a handicap at Haydock just four days ago and switches onto a synthetic surface on which he has a solid record from limited opportunities.
