Summerghand should run well again and Volatile Analyst is interesting if he’s getting back into form. I’m with Dandyville, who has a great record on good or faster ground. He hasn’t finished out of the first three on a good surface for Natalia Lupini.
I like Araminta, who has improved on all of her starts. She’s good on quick ground and she seems to be progressing all of the time. This seems to be her trip too and she’s fully effective right handed. Trevaunance has better form but Araminta is very progressive.
Highfield Princess is the most likely winner but she doesn’t look unbeatable like she did last year. I’m going to take her on with Bouttemont, who gets his ideal conditions of quick ground and a 5f distance.
Ylang Ylang could be the most likely winner and she has a big reputation but she could be better over a bigger distance in the future. I’m going to take her on with Vespertilio, who finished second behind Ylang Ylang at Leopardstown in July. Vespertilio won at the Curragh last time out too.
I’d be very surprised if Aidan O’Brien runs both City Of Troy and Henry Longfellow. I’d guess one of them will come out. Bucanero Fuerte is not behind them in what he’s achieved and he’s likely to progress again with a step up in trip. He would be my tentative selection but I’d be wary considering one of City Of Troy and Henry Longfellow might be pulled out.
Kyprios is a standout based on form but the talk coming out about him all season hasn’t been positive. This is a difficult race to call but I’ll have a go on Eldar Eldarov. Kyprios is obviously a much better horse but we don’t know if he’s up to this. Eldar Eldarov ran well in the Goodwood Cup and he likes the ground.
Native American looks like he could go very well after winning at York back in May. It’s hard to say that form has worked out brilliantly though and he’s been missing since. He stands out in a weak race but I’m siding with Nikki Swango. I’ve tipped up a few Natalia Lupini runners this weekend so one more won’t hurt!
Golden Spangle is interesting at the bottom of the weights. She’s improved with cheekpieces being fitted and she was a good second to Take Heart last time out at Naas. She’s dropped down in the weights and she can go well.
