On the back of a solid effort here last month, SNOOZE LANE (nap) may well be the answer. Prince Ali (second choice) is threatening to regain the winning thread, while Richard Hannon’s class-droppers Oh Herberts Reign and Ellade warrant respect at this level.
18:00 A DUBLIN LAD
Having finished only 2l behind a highly notable stablemate on his last appearance, A DUBLIN LAD holds interesting claims at this level on his return from another layoff. Classic Times (second choice) and Fly Zone are the main dangers on form.
18:30 HINT OF THE JUNGLE
Having done well to win at Beverley following a wide trip, HINT OF THE JUNGLE is taken to follow up. Recent C&D runner-up Beenham is second choice, while Make It Easy and Miss Anya could also be involved.

19:00 KAARESS
A minimal rise in the weights gives KAARESS every chance of following up last Saturday’s course win. American Tale, who looks interesting back on AW, is second choice ahead of Brandaisy and Primetime.
19:30 BETWEENTHESTICKS
A strong race for the grade with several in-form sprinters on show. The two with the most pressing claims may be Nelson Gay, who is only 1lb higher than for his win at Newcastle in June, and BETWEENTHESTICKS. The selection hasn’t been at his best on his last two starts but this is a drop in class and he was successful in his only other visit here.
20:00 GUSTAV GRAVES
Low-grade fare but several runners of interest. There should be plenty of pace on and this could set up for a closer, with Admirable Lad, Universal Grace (second choice) and GUSTAV GRAVES appealing most. The selection will need some luck but this is weaker than he’s used to, he’s well handicapped and his latest Beverley run strongly suggested he was ready to strike.
20:30 GREEK GIANT
Top of the list is GREEK GIANT, who won two in a row in June before his clear second behind a dual subsequent winner at Ripon. He’s only 1lb higher than for that last run and has leading claims back on AW after a break. The main threat could come from another progressive 3yo in Eloped, who was a close second at Southwell three weeks ago. Ivy Avenue could be dangerous on her step back up in trip, while others to keep an eye on are the returning pair Gentle Fire and Gold Standard.
