Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Anglo Saxson is a no-nonsense individual who was good value for his C&D win three weeks ago so he’s second choice, but a chance is taken on ISLAND NATIVE. Heather Main’s three-year-old hasn’t been seen to best effect since his near miss at Brighton three runs back. Uncle Dick and Racing Demon should be on the scene.
The John Quinn-trained BLUE MOONBABY appeared to have much more in hand than the official winning margin on last week’s nursery debut at Musselburgh and she can defy a 6lb penalty. Goodeveningmrbond did well to get up at Chepstow having had to wait for a run and he could be the main danger, with Be Here Now also respected.
L’Ennemi sets a good form standard on account of finishing runner-up at Beverley on his second start, but there are some very interesting newcomers to consider. 300,000euros yearling GULF LEGEND has an illustrious pedigree and earns the vote ahead of Godolphin debutant Legend Of Time. Odin Legacy, Victorious Street and Wafei also catch the eye and the betting could be informative.
Broomfields Cave has had some jumping issues since his win here in June but he still has potential as a stayer and is a big player if he can eliminate the errors. Blue Sans has won over C&D in her last two starts and is strongly respected, but slight preference is for PARDON ME, who made it three wins from her last four runs when forging clear at Market Rasen last month. Another to keep an eye on is 5yo Gamesters Girl, who looks interesting on her step up to this trip.
