This looks competitive with Simply Sideways arriving on the back of a career best and last time out winner Slieve Binnian is only up 3lb for his latest success. However, the tentative vote goes to FREE FLOW who has looked well treated since switching to handicaps and he ran a good race from a poor position at the Curragh last time.

There’s been some encouraging runs from SPECIAL PROTECTOR of late, notably when beaten under a length at Navan last week and she looks like a big player from the basement mark. The lightly-raced Plunkett Street could be the main danger after an improved run last time.

A competitive staying handicap. EXTENSIO arrives on the back of a winning hurdling debut which is working out well and before that finished a close second to an improver on the Flat at the Curragh, form which has also been franked since. He is preferred to Grappa Nonino, Sheishybrid and Marvelosa.

This can go the way of WILD SHOT (nap) who won well when last seen on the Flat and the handicapper may have let him off the hook. A Mere Bagatelle has been in good form over jumps of late and looks potentially well treated back in this sphere.
