With his April run perhaps best forgiven, it’s worth giving another chance to GREATEST TIME who holds strong claims on his sole 2yo effort. Bloomwithgrace (second choice) is comparatively exposed but looks a major player on the figures, while the previous winners Dunes King and No Surrender are also in the mix. A few of the once-raced contenders have possibilities granted normal improvement.

Compensation may well await SAIL ON SILVERBIRD, who would probably have won at Wolverhampton last month but for having a noticeably wide trip throughout. She retains low mileage and looks open to further progress in handicaps. Evening Story, a similar type, is second choice ahead of Lordsbridge Girl who is interesting back on Polytrack. Zaakara and Sea Of Elegance are other shortlist suggestions.

Improving UNLIMITED is striking while the iron’s hot and could well defy a penalty for last week’s Newbury win. Lion Kingdom, who looks interesting back on all weather (AW), is second choice ahead of handicap debutant Palio and consistent Miss Dolly Rocker. Finest Leader’s chance of a four-timer depends on whether he’s as effective back on AW and with cheekpieces removed.

This should be run at a good clip and that will suit course and distance (C&D) winner SAYIFYOUWILL, who all things considered ran well at Newmarket last time. Soar Above (second choice) is always to be feared here and both Maxi Boy and Flying Secret are others who should be on the premises.

21:00 Surrey Noir (NAP)

The free-going Captain Wentworth may prove more tractable after a gelding operation and he has the ability to run well, while Juryman and Harriet’s Angel also have something to recommend them. Believe You Me won well in a weaker race last time and still has potential but none appeals more than SURREY NOIR (NAP). Charlie Fellowes’s 3yo was a shade unfortunate not to score over C&D two weeks ago, finishing strongly from a poor position, and he’s surely up to winning races off this mark.
