Horse Racing Tips: Ruby Walsh’s Sunday ante-post picks for the Irish Champions Festival

Day two of Irish Champions weekend sees Ruby Walsh siding with English challenger Bradsell (2.55pm) in the Dubai Flying Five Stakes.

Ruby Walsh’s Sunday Curragh Horse Racing Tips:

2.55pm: Dubai Flying Five Stakes
Bradsell

3.25pm: Moyglare Stud Stakes
Ylang Ylang

4pm: National Stakes
City Of Troy

4.35pm: Irish St. Leger
Emily Dickinson

2.55pm: Dubai Flying Five Stakes

I’d be siding with Bradsell to turn the form around with Highfield Princess. He improved for his run at Haydock behind Little Big Bear and beat Highfield Princess at Ascot. He came to chase Live In The Dream at York and got by Highfield Princess but faded in the last furlong. With that run under his belt, Bradsell could improve enough again to win.

3.25pm: Moyglare Stud Stakes

Bellezza is a maiden winner with a good pedigree and the Moyglare Stud Stakes at The Curragh looks the place to go.

Ballydoyle’s Ylang Ylang sets the standard. Aidan O’Brien could win the three big two-year-old races over the weekend as he has an above average bunch of two-year-olds. City of Troy looks one for the National Stakes later adn you’d have a treble if you get the right Ballydoyle winner in the other-two-year-old race.

4pm: Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes

City Of Troy was pretty spectacular at Newmarket and there’s been all sorts of theories talked about him.  I’d have him in a treble with Ylang Ylang and hope to you get the right one of the Ballydoyle entries in the other two-year-old race.

4.35pm: Comer Group International Irish St. Leger

I only have an opinion if it rains and if it does, Emily Dickinson will beat Hamish. She’s crying out for the ground. At Ascot, it was too quick for her in the Gold Cup behind Courage Mon Ami. She came back to The Curragh and kicked Rosscarbery out of the way and then she went to Goodwood where we all know Quickthorn got away because Emily Dickinson finished in front of Coltrane and Courage Mon Ami and they both blew Quickthorn out of the way at York last week. Emily Dickinson is a very, very good filly. She wants a cut in the ground and if it does rain, I’d be waiting for her.
