Lyndon B is a course and distance winner and he’s running off a mark of 85, which is more than workable. He’s in the right place to perform in this handicap even though he might be slightly exposed.
Dream Harder has a better draw than the other runner that I like Fulfilled. He was beaten by Spirit Dancer last time out at Windsor and that’s strong handicap form. This 1m4f is as far as he wants to go and hopefully he goes well.
Coppice and Heredia will go well but I’m with Midnight Mile. I’m a long-term fan. She won the Fillies’ Stakes at York last month and she followed that up with a third in the Rose Of Lancaster Stakes behind Al Aasy. She looked like she had them in trouble that day but she got outstayed. She has solid form and she goes over what is her perfect distance of a mile.
Silky Wilkie could be the one to beat if he turns up but I’m on Apollo One, who has been really unlucky. He’s the best horse in this race and he deserves to win, it just depends on whether he can do it over the 5f distance, with most of his form coming over 6f. Judicial could also run a big race.
I’m on Dual Identity for William Knight. He is a course and distance winner but he hasn’t had much luck this season. He’s dropped in the weights and he can go well. I’m trying to back him ante-post for the Cambridgeshire so that shows how sweet I am on him. He will sit at the back and Marco Ghiani will make his move late on.
I like Military Order but there are question marks over whether he stays the trip. It’s also difficult to back Charlie Appleby’s runners at the moment. I’m on Lone Eagle for Ralph Beckett as this seems to be his perfect trip. This race could solely depend on how Military Order bounces back from his Derby blowout.
Starlore could be very good but Mortlake has obvious claims. He bolted up last time out in a Novice Stakes at Leicester when winning by five lengths. It’s between the two of them and I’m siding with Mortlake.
