13:50 Lets Go Hugo
Lets Go Hugo turned in one of his best races of the season when third at Wolverhampton four weeks ago, faring best of those who were held up. The switch back to turf here won’t be an issue as he has finished runner-up on the grass twice this season, including when missing out by only a head at Catterick in June. He ought to be in the shake up if proving as effective over six furlongs (raced only at 5f so far).
14:20 Thyer
Thyer showed his inexperience on debut at Newbury but he ultimately shaped with encouragement, keeping on well into third in that seven-furlong novice. He ought to improve with that outing under his belt, while the step up to a mile should also suit. He should prove difficult to beat if making the anticipated improvement.
14:50 Cinderellas Dream
Cinderellas Dream boasts a good pedigree – she’s by Shamardal and her lightly-raced dam is out of the very smart High Heeled – and she made a successful start at Lingfield in May, winning with more in hand than the margin of a neck might suggest. She was asked to do no more than necessary for that cosy success so she remains capable of better, with the step up to a mile from seven furlongs promising to suit. She can defy a penalty on her return to action.
15:20 Fast And Loose
Fast And Loose was beaten less than a length in sixth at Ayr in May and he produced another creditable performance when third at Redcar on his return from an 11-week break 20 days ago. Fast And Loose has yet to win a handicap but he hasn’t had much racing this season and showed enough at Redcar last time to suggest that he’s on a fair mark.
15:50 Scottish Summit
Scottish Summit was a bit disappointing when only sixth at York last time but he had been in good form prior to that and is the type to bounce back quickly. He was an encouraging third at Ripon in April and confirmed that promise when scoring over this course and distance in May, winning with more in hand than the margin of three-quarters of a length might suggest.
He is only 3lb higher in the weights than for that cosy success and can give a good account of himself.

16:20 Lunanera
French recruit Lunanera offered encouragement on his first start for Archie Watson when a close-up third at Ffos Las, missing out by three-quarters of a length and a neck, and he built on that to get off the mark at Chepstow eight days ago.
Lunanera scored in good style, drawing two and a half lengths clear, and he remains capable of better for this yard so a 6lb penalty should not be enough to stop him following up.
16:55 Art De Vivre
Art De Vivre is bred to be useful – her dam is a sister to the very smart Magic Wand and is a close relation to Irish Oaks winner Chicquita – and she has shown promise in three starts in maidens, finishing runner-up on a couple of occasions. She had the run of the race at Ffos Las last time so was flattered by her proximity to the winner, but there should still be more to come now that she enters handicaps and she will have the assistance of William Buick in the saddle.
