Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPS table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Sam Feilden has plenty of experience for 5lb in this company and TELE RED, who’s looked better than ever this year, is preferred to Magical Mile, a dual 1m2f winner last summer for Benoit De La Sayette. King Triton (lightly raced) and Master Of Combat are two more with claims in a competitive handicap.
Tobetso took another forward step for his new yard last time and goes on the shortlist, along with the well-handicapped pair Touchwood and Motarajel. This could well be set up for something from off the pace, though, with the likes of Vondelpark and Saisons D’Or in the line-up, and COSMIC RAJ, a three-time late-summer course winner, gets the nod.
The step up in trip looks to be the right move for GOLD AURA and she is taken to get off the mark at the sixth attempt. Handicap newcomer Unlimited may be the chief danger on his first run since being gelded, ahead of Irish raider Yamalia Star. Forest Demon and Khinjani arrive on the back of wins, while Bloomwithgrace also ran well last time out.
It could pay to take a chance on DEMOCRITUS, who has a tongue-tie fitted for his handicap debut after a below-par latest effort. Still lightly raced, he has potential off this low a mark. Creative Control could be a danger on this return to hurdling for his in-form yard, while Sir Jack West is also respected.
