16:40 Shelaka

SHELAKA was really impressive last time out at Tipperary on debut. Her finishing speed was 111 per cent and she raced around mid-field with plenty of horses to pass. She travelled lovely and has picked them off well. Her previous form includes a second to Andromeda who went off at 8/11 and got the run of the race.

Shelaka deserves to take her chance at this level and should improve plenty for it.

17:10 Letsbefrankaboutit

LETSBEFRANKABOUTIT made his debut in a very decent maiden in the Curragh two weeks ago. The first two home were on the far side and he was clear of his group.

That race was won by Navassa Island dropping into maiden company after being placed in a Group 3 at Naas on debut and sent off at 5/1 for the Albany Stakes. Letsbefrankaboutit actually went off at 11/8 last time out which shows you the confidence behind him against proven horses. I expect him to play a major part in this race.

Curragh 17: 40 – Indian Wish

A Listed winner at Gowran Park in May before being half-fancied for the Kensington Fillies Handicap at Royal Ascot before she could only finish 10th. Indian Wish then produced a much-improved run at Killarney last time when winning over a mile from Unless, with the runner-up subsequently franking the form by winning a Stakes race at the Curragh, before just being touched off by course specialist Layfayette a few days ago.

Clever and Cool was fifth to Indian Wish at Killarney and followed up by winning a heavy-ground Listed arce at Cork, but probably had the conditions to suit. The third Giladah (runs in this), while the fourth, Eternal Silence holds an entry in the Group 2 Blandford Stakes next month, as does the selection.
