15:00 Hatem – Racing Post

Useful colt who has a solid record in major two year old races this summer having performed well in the Coventry (6f) and Superlative (7f) then won the Vintage Stakes at Goodwood (7f, good to soft; acts on good to firm); incurs a three pound penalty and drops back in trip but HATEM is one of the main form contenders.

15:35 Big Evs – The Star

BIG EVS was impressive with three length win from the front in Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) on second start and game when narrowly making all in Group 3 Molecomb at Goodwood (5f, soft) latest; supplemented for this at cost of £40,000; the last two year old winner of this was Kingsgate Native in 2007 but The Platinum Queen was second last year and this similarly speedy sort has to be of interest in receipt of bundles of weight from the older horses.

16:10 Amanzoe – On The Nose

AMAZOE has been absent since finishing two lengths second, clear of remainder, in this race (off five lb lower; good to firm) last year when bidding for a fifth success of 2022; progressive filly who looks a likely player provided she returns in the same form.

17:15 Tafreej – attheraces.com

Useful gelding who has proved consistent; suited by step up to one mile in handicaps the last twice, winning at Yarmouth (good to firm) then creditable fourth at the Newmarket July festival (good to soft); TAFREEJ remains unexposed at this distance; one of two major players for Shadwell.
