CHERRY BLOSSOM was thought good enough to run in Listed company on her racecourse debut and wasn’t disgraced. She made no mistake on her second try 12 days ago, dominating a field in very easy fashion and looks ready for the step back into deeper waters.
14:25 – Bibendum (each-way)
It’s another wide-open renewal of this cavalry charge. The selection was arguably unlucky from a wide, starting stall position at Wolverhampton last time to not get the job done. Back on a straight track with a few of the pace runners drawn around him now though, BIBENDUM can out- run his double-digit odds.

15:00 – Terwada
TERWADA is related to some very decent triple-digit-rated runners, and made no mistake on his handicap debut beating a fair yardstick in The Gatekeeper at Newmarket. We have lots of the old favourites in here and this three-year-old is the new pretender on the block. He’s open to much more progress.
15:35 – Stay Alert (each-way)
STAY ALERT got knocked over in Ireland last time, and would arguably have been the winner but for that. She will need to settle early as she can be quite aggressive and ruin her winning opportunity. We have former champion jockey Oisin Murphy in the saddle and she looks a little over-priced by Paddy.
16:10 – Sea Theme
SEA THEME has been brought along steadily by her excellent handler William Haggas and turns up completely unexposed for his favourite meeting of the season. She wasn’t fully extended to win at Doncaster over this distance and will have learnt plenty from that experience. Admittedly she will need to step up again against much tougher company. However, she is the obvious lightly-raced improver in the field.
