Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Plenty to consider including handicap debutantes Isabella Bee (second choice) and Ryder’s Rock. A career record of 3-41 demonstrates that KARANNELLE is no frequent winner but she usually runs to form here and wind surgery may have given her a boost.
Nigel Hawke’s JACK THE FARMER is developing into a reliable stayer at this level and he was a bit unlucky when second here the last time. Lelantos could have done without a late mistake at Uttoxeter and should go well again, along with Rubys Reward.
A strong field is assembled but the one runner with striking potential is BRIEF TIMES who was strong at the finish at Bangor last time and can complete his hat-trick. It is a hard choice for second between two more who have been in career-best form, with Go On Chez, who was runner-up when the selection won his penultimate start, preferred to Courtland who is upped in trip. Peregrine Run is now a 13yo but he won this race last year.
Emorcee is tempting after bumping into one well handicapped at Galway and this sharper test will suit, while Loingseoir, First Gentleman and Eloquent Arthur need shortlisting. However, it was never in much doubt when DRAGON OF MALTA won comfortably at Galway and he can deal with this 9lb higher mark.
