Horse Racing tips: A 9/1 play leads the way at Catterick today

The Racing Post tipster likes the look of Jamil in the curtain raiser at 14:25.

14:25 – Jamil
15:00 – Moreginplease
15:35 – Hondo
16:10 – Soul Seeker
16:45 – Quercus (NAP)
17:20 – Mutanaaseq

14:25 – Jamil

There are several in-form contenders to consider, as well as Irish challenger Sefton Warrior and The Dancing Poet who is seeking to win this race for the third consecutive season. Top of the list is JAMIL, who likes it here and has run well over same course and distance (C&D) on his last three starts. A La Francaise is second choice but Let Her Loose and Just Hiss are also strong contenders on the back of recent wins.

15:00 – Moreginplease

This low-grade nursery can go to MOREGINPLEASE who shaped well on her only previous handicap start and has the benefit of a low draw. Lightning Point, whose stable is in such good form, and Pontefract third Crack The Kode are two others likely to run well.

 

 

15:35 – Hondo

A tricky race can go to HONDO who seemed suited by the step up to 1m2f last time and should be even more effective at this trip. Two others likely to go well are A Poet’s Secret, who was disappointing on his debut, and the penalised Wolverhampton winner Harappan.

16:10 – Soul Seeker

A competitive race for the grade can go to the in-form SOUL SEEKER who is one of the few runners who will be suited by the ground drying out. Good Luck Fox may prove his biggest threat.

 

16:45 – Quercus (NAP)

Topweight QUERCUS (NAP) has won over C&D the last twice to take his overall tally here to five, and this thriving 6yo can land the hat-trick. Wade’s Magic won over C&D a fortnight ago despite being denied a clear passage and he may be the chief danger ahead of the progressive Giselles Izzy.

17:20 – Mutanaaseq

The in-form eight year old MUTANAASEQ can win over C&D for the third time this season. There are several other C&D winners in the field, with Langholm feared most ahead of the likes of Magical Effect, Rain Cap and Mr Strutter. Darbucks could run well, too.
