Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:30 – Beverley – John Kirkup – Weekender

JOHN KIRKUP has placed on various occasions this year, including when beaten a neck at Carlisle (5f, good to soft), due a win and could come close here.

16:40 – Salisbury – Mistral Star – tipmantips.com

MISTRAL STAR kept on well to justify favouritism in 1m2f novice here (good to firm) in June; fourth of seven when favourite in 1m2f handicap here was tame, notwithstanding the soft ground, but it’s far too early to dismiss this well-bred filly (bred to stay 1m4f) after just four starts.

17:22 – Wolverhampton – Agapanther – Morning Star

Nothing comes into this in better form than Bo Taifan who bids for an all-weather hat-trick after wins at Chelmsford and Lingfield. He has to be respected but the vote goes to AGAPANTHER who drops to this level for the first time and shouldn’t have a problem with the return to 7f, having won over the trip at Kempton last year.

17:30 – Windsor – Conquistador – Daily Telegraph

CONSQUISTADOR has won his first two starts for this yard and he ran a cracker back from a break when third of 26 at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) in June; should have fared better at Newmarket since (5f, good), even allowing for a stumble leaving the stalls, but star apprentice takes off a useful 3lb and 6f may be more his thing now.
