He was a convincing winner last time out and his new mark looks fair. There shouldn’t be any issues if the group turns quicker as his pedigree suggests that it will suit him. He looks a very solid bit of value in a decent looking race.
Mellow Mood was brutally denied any room on his last start so this smaller field should really give him a better chance of getting a clear run. He hit the frame twice prior to that and now has a very good 7lb claim in Shariq Mohd in the saddle for a trainer, Sylvester Kirk, who has an excellent record at the track. There looks to be plenty of value about the price.
