He is 3 times a winner over this course and distance, runner-up 3 times and with such a good record here must hold a decent chance off this winning mark today. Open race that won’t take much winning and he’s very much one of the main contenders to aim at.

Wrecked It Ralph definitely hasn’t been at his best so far this season but ran well over 6 furlongs here last month and there’s plenty to like about that effort to suggest he can go well again today at a price. Drop in trip likely to help and is just 1lb higher than when 2nd in this race last year so shouldn’t be far away if able to build on that performance LTO.
Ripon 17:05 – Poets Dawn
1.5 points EW
A course and distance winner and a 2 length runner-up over course and distance last time out keeping on well at the end. Likes this track and another bold effort is very likely here for this popular and is a horse who always runs to a consistent level so we can expect a good run for our money here.
Ayr 17:20 – Rory The Cat
3 points win
Rory The Cat won well at Beverley over this trip last time out and was runner-up over course and distance in the race prior to that beaten a neck. Didn’t get the clearest of runs when winning last time out and may have more improvement to come now. A 3 year old who looks as if he’s clearly getting the hang of things lately and hasn’t run a bad race in a while. Dangerous player who’s open to plenty more improvement.
