14:25 – ROMAN SECRET

ROMAN SECRET made an encouraging start to her career at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago, running on well under a hands-and-heels ride to take second close home. That form sets the standard in this fillies’ novice event and the way she shaped on debut suggests the step up to seven
furlongs is likely to unlock more improvement. Trained by Richard Fahey, who enjoyed an across- the-card treble on Saturday, Roman Secret rates a very solid selection to get off the mark at the second attempt.

15:00 – TURBO COMMAND

TURBO COMMAND is yet to win on turf from 11 attempts, but that could be about to change judged on his run here last time. He was beaten less than three lengths on that occasion, doing well under the circumstances to get so close having been caught further back than ideal in a steadily-run affair. A repeat of that effort will give him every chance on these terms and it looks a good opportunity for him to belatedly add to his three wins on the all-weather.

15:35- JKR COBBLER

JKR COBBLER took his time winning his first handicap, but he’s going the right way now having registered back-to-back wins over this course and distance in recent weeks. He followed up with a bit to spare last time, ultimately winning by a length having stayed on to lead in the final 100 yards. This will be tougher following a further 4 lb rise in the weights, but he’s fancied to prove equal to the task in his hat-trick bid, with further progress by no means out of the question.

16:10 – FLYAWAYDREAM

FLYAWAYDREAM returned from nine months off with a good third at Kempton last time, just about matching the form he showed as a three-year-old. He was beaten only two lengths at the line and looked unlucky not to finish closer still having been hampered a furlong out. The step up to a mile and a quarter today should be right up his street and, placed in all three starts in handicaps, he is well worth another chance to take advantage of what is clearly a workable mark.

16:45 – LADY CELIA

LADY CELIA resumed winnings ways on just her second start for Alan Brown (formerly trained by Richard Fahey) at Nottingham a couple of weeks ago, hitting the front over a furlong out and always doing enough from there to land the spoils by a length in comfortable fashion. She is 3 lb higher in the weights today but remains potentially well treated judged on the pick of her form. After all, she lines up here from a BHA mark of 61 having been placed off 68 a couple of seasons ago.

17:20 – RORY THE CAT

RORY THE CAT continued his excellent run of form with an authoritative success at Beverley last time, only winning by a length but looking value for extra having overcome trouble to assert inside the final furlong. Beaten just a head over this course and distance on his previous start, he’s looked a improved model since joining Lucinda Russell (formerly trained by Keith Dalgleish) and a 3 lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent him from gaining his third win of the campaign.
