17:00 – Path Doroux
The 2m handicap hurdle has been labelled as the Galway Hurdle consolation race and a couple that didn’t get into Thursday’s feature have a chance to gain compensation now. Gavin Cromwell’s PATH DOROUX heads the weights from Buddy One and Willie Mullins has three entries in Tekao, Lot of Joy and We’llhavewan who may be better suited by a longer trip.
Tekao has a great chance and is only a four-year-old Lot of Joy was sixth to Teed Up on Monday night after getting a little too far back.
Path D’oroux was balloted out of the Galway Hurdle and he could be the one to lead them all home.
18:00 – Good Bye Sam
GOOD BYE SAM comes from the Hunter Chase sphere and a rating of 119 looks plenty high to me in the Galway Blazers over 2m 6f. Paul Townend rides him though and will get down to 10st 5lbs to do so. He’s in good form and is a solid jumper and should run well despite being off the track for a year. Henry De Bromhead won this last season with Gabbys Cross and saddles Toss Again and Percy Warner who could go close under Rachael Blackmore.
18:35 – Teed Up
A very valuable Flat Handicap over 1m 4f where top-weight Jackfinbar could have had his form boosted by Espionage at Goodwood as he chased him home at Roscommon last time. He carries 6lbs more now and has been done no favours by the draw in stall 20.
Monday’s winner TEED UP hasn’t been done any huge favours either in box 16 but he’s a course specialist and back down in trip to 1m 4f now could see him going close to another big pay day.
19:10 – Eziva
A fillies’ maiden over 1m 4f sees two bumper winners in Ivana and Vadsa Queen take their chance but they’ll have to shift a bit over this trip to be involved. Dermot Weld’s EZIVA looks like she may have been laid out for the race.

20:10 – Dawn Rising
Willie Mullins holds three entries with Stratum, Mt Leinster and MC Muldoon all in the line-up but the top-weight DAWN RISING holds the aces after winning over 2m 5f at Royal Ascot last time out. He has Stratum well behind at Leopardstown over this 1m 6f trip in the Saval Beg Stakes when third to Yashin before that and will be very hard to beat.
20:40 – Our Boy Wes
My best bet of the night comes in the finale where the Emmet Mullins-trained OUR BOY WES lines up in the 1m 6f contest ridden by 7lb claimer Sean Bowen. He’s drawn 16 of 18 but can go close in the Friday finale.
