Goodwood 13:50 – Westerton

ITV Wednesday at Glorious Goodwood gets under way with this handicap for three-year-olds over a mile and a half. Amleto is open to all sorts of improvement but so is WESTERTON who has been crying out for a step up to this distance. Alan King’s challenger is well drawn in stall four and has Ryan Moore on top. He goes very well with juice in the ground and the way he has been finishing over a mile and a quarter suggests this trip will be perfect.

Goodwood 14:25 – Jumbly

Up in class here for the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes for fillies and mares over seven furlongs. JUMBLY is not well drawn but this looks a decent chance to get back to winning ways since leaving the Charlton stable. Now handled by Joseph O’Brien, Jumbly ran a fair race when fourth behind Rogue Millennium in the Duke of Cambridge at Royal Ascot and provided he can get a good position has strong eachway claims under Ryan Moore.

Goodwood 15:00 – Kylian

Another Group 3 in the Molecomb for youngsters over five furlongs. This is tough to call with inexperienced horses at such a tricky track. KYLIAN is likely to be finishing fast after his Listed success from off the pace at Sandown last time and he looks to be improving all the time. This will be his fifth start which might help Ryan Moore’s mount as well.

Goodwood 15:35 – Paddington

The big race of the week at Goodwood in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes over a mile. That said, for many punters it will be a turn off with less than eight runners and a long odds on favourite. PADDINGTON really should take care of Inspiral after his victories in the Irish 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace Stakes and Eclipse. He goes on any ground and stays well and rated 125 he’s easily the best horse in the race for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore. Let’s hope it’s a good day for Moore!
