14:50 – Soto Sizzler (each way)
15:25 – Witness Stand (each way)
16:00 – Kinross
16:35 – Giavellotto

14:50 – Soto Sizzler (each way)

A lot in the line-up are having another crack at this contest Soto Sizzler is 7lbs lower in the handicap from where he was perched last season. Added to that, he has an inside starting position and also the services of the world-class Ryan Moore in the saddle. He looks the each-way pick.

15:25 – Witness Stand (each way)

Witness Stand doesn’t have anywhere near the form shown by a few of the other runners, but he has a massive amount of potential still having just run once. He basically won with his head in his chest at Chester on his debut 32 days ago and although it’s also slightly unusual for the trainer Tom Clover to throw him straight in the deep end, he must be high up the pecking order among the yard’s two-year-old’s at home.

16:00 – Kinross

Kinross went on a rampage of victories last season, rounding off with a brace of Group 1 wins. His return effort was solid and then he put up an excellent third to Shaquille in the July Cup. Going up in trip to 7f is no problem for him and he’s a short-priced pick who should be winning on day one.

16:35 – Giavellotto

The Aascot Gold Cup winner Courage Mon Ami is going to be tough to beat but he’s also going to be incredibly short in the market. Giavellotto will definitely appreciate stepping back up an extra quarter of a mile for this tw0-mile contest and is not slow. If Andrea Atzeni is able to help him down to the bottom of the hill and get him organised, his finishing kick can prove too potent for these.
