18:15 – VILLALOBOS

The most appealing option in this rather uncompetitive opener is VILLALOBOS, who is perhaps better known for his AW exploits but has made the frame three consecutive times on turf this summer. Destiny’s Spirit won’t mind how soft it gets but she hasn’t been in rip-roaring form and Joy Choi may be the main danger to the selection. Firenze Rosa and handicap debutante Ishani are others to consider.

19:45 – PRIMEVAL

This has the look of a very weak novice and a golden opportunity for the promising PRIMEVAL to follow up her debut win that was gained at the expense of a previous winner. She’s the only runner to have been remotely competitive thus far, though Queens Resolve didn’t run too badly second time out and Queens Award should be capable of better. Love Lies needs checking in the market.

20:15 – ORIENTAL SPIRIT

With Gannon Glory, Prince Of Bel Lir and Beau Jardine possible pacesetters this should be run at an honest pace and that will benefit ORIENTAL SPIRIT. He’s on a dangerous mark and was an unlucky loser on the AW last time. Fiscal Policy is another who tends to do a lot of late running and he’s feared most along with Big R.

20:45 – TWOFORTHEGUTTER

Graham was one of two to pull clear of the others when second at Doncaster a week ago and ought to go well from the front again here but today’s step up in trip may unlock the necessary improvement from TWOFORTHEGUTTER (nap), who has been shaping as though his turn might be near. Handicap debutante Movie Star Looks is next on the list.
