The Class 2 Fontwell Chase Series Final (15:45) tops the bill at Fontwell as Diplomatic Ash bids to complete a quick-fire hat-trick at the track, but the Gary & John Moore-trained gelding has to cope with a 7lb penalty for his latest win and faces 11 rivals including fellow treble seeker Good Friday Fairy.

Danny Mullins makes the journey across the Irish Sea to ride Jacovec Cavern – 10th in last year’s Cesarewitch and Greatwood Handicap Hurdle – for the Class 4 Albert Bartlett Triple Crown Series Handicap Hurdle (15:32) at Wetherby.

Lingfield kicks off the day’s all-weather action before evening meetings at Southwell and Dundalk round off proceedings.
