We’re quite sweet on the Charlie Johnston-runner Gone, who has been a consistent winner and is well suited to today’s test. He’s a confirmed front runner and he might just be able to give this field the slip early and not look back. He’s been performing well of late and will appreciate the better ground and a return to a smaller field where he can dominate.
Torvar has a bit of form in the book that really stands out when behind Big Evs and Seven Questions, who went on to run well in higher class races than this. He represents some nice value and is open to all kinds of improvement. Indication Spirit at the head of the market looks interesting but he is well worth taking on at the prices.
Castan is a course and distance winner who has won twice and placed five times over today’s distance. His form is very consistent and his price is already shortening in the betting. He looks like one who’s next win is imminent and a return to this venue with ideal conditions makes him very hard to ignore.
Lethal Touch ran very well on his return to action when third at Newmarket and he’s now back at Wolverhampton where he’s already a course and distance winner and is yet to run a bad race. He looks a real big player. He has a nice draw in stall four and he is a confirmed front runner. He should be able to bounce out and he could make all the running. He’s won twice in this grade and as a four-year-old, he is still open to improvement. He’s the one they all have to beat.
