A mark of 70 seems to leave her with plenty to find but FINSCEAL GO DEO has shown promise in two of her three starts this term and gets the vote. The newcomer pecial Wan could well be her biggest danger.
Some of the newcomers have Group-race entries, of which Stromberg and Mo Ghille Mar are the most notable, but SLI NA GHEALAI holds a Group 1 entry herself and can build upon last month’s promising debut over C&D.
Several of these employed front-running tactics to good effect on their latest starts so something has to give. One who will be played later is PUNK POET who is back down to a good mark and shaped encouragingly after a break at Bellewstown.
Of the six who line up, only Still Rolling doesn’t hold a Group 1 Moyglare entry and this is likely to be a hot contest but OPERA SINGER (nap) was getting the hang of things late on at the Curragh and will be more streetwise now under Moore.
None can be ruled out. Topweight Longbourn and Nasrullah fourth Cordouan have good claims but maybe CHAVAJOD, running sweetly for his new yard this term, can gain a second course win.
Returning to the scene of his impressive maiden score last year, ALFRED MUNNINGS can take a big step forward from his return start after injury, something many quality horses from his stable have done over the years. Bold Discovery was impressive at the Curragh over 1m last time but he can race keenly and this trip poses a question.
Having run green when narrowly beaten at the Curragh on debut, the beautifully-bred SATURN should be able to go one better with improvement likely. Kadeen wasn’t far behind him that day and can give him a race. As the Lyons’ first-string, Velvet And Vine can run well.
Second to a most progressive sort at Roscommon last time, GREY FABLE can go one better and confirm that form with Pinot Gris who finished fourth on that occasion before he won at Down Royal. Highland King has shown his best form at this track and is a dark horse, while Fairytale Princess needs a market check on handicap debut. Darraby and Pale Moonlight can run well.
