Second choice is Hanoverian King who, like the selection, ran an encouraging race over C&D on his penultimate outing and remains unexposed at this trip. The tight-looking rematch between Lisdarragh, Chagall and Nivelle’s Magic adds interest to a fairly open contest.

14:50 – Queen Emma

Despite three defeats QUEEN EMMA has been progressing steadily and, with this new trip a likely plus, she’s taken to open her account. Divya, who holds solid claims on form, is second choice ahead of Marmara Sea who ties in with that filly on Newmarket running. A couple of the others are open to improvement, while the two newcomers need a market check.

15:25 – Bit Harsh

Devizes won in impressive fashion at Kempton last month but this is two classes higher and he could prove vulnerable. 2m could suit Arcadian Friend (second choice) but BIT HARSH is on an upward curve and he can take another step forward over this new distance.

16:00 – Rogue Rosie

Having attracted support ROGUE ROSIE made an encouraging debut at Newbury and looks likely to build on that effort. Nottingham scorer Granny Budgie is feared most, ahead of Royal Expert, Band Of Joy and Whiteley Way.

16:35 – Ice Cool Harry (NAP)

With further improvement on the cards, ICE COOL HARRY (NAP) can follow up his C&D novice success. Hydration, another unexposed sort, is feared most ahead of the consistent Clipsham La Habana.

17:05 – Eight Mile

Brighton winner EIGHT MILE is still unexposed over 6f and could well defy a 6lb penalty with Billy Loughnane again on board. The drop back to this distance may prompt improvement from Starproof, who is second choice. In-form Lahina Bay is hard to dismiss, while handicap debutantes Sparkling Spirit and Morning Colours are open to progress.
