14:15 Stratford – Ayr Of Elegance (The Sun)

She’s the oldest runner in the field but C&D winner AYR OF ELEGANCE is still well handicapped after last month’s Newton Abbot success and might be better equipped to cope than Nadim if the ground is softer than good. Born To Please and Mickyh also have possibilities.

14:50 Stratford – Saisissante (Telegraph)

Two Past Eight made a pleasing start to his hurdling career at Aintree last month and is perhaps the most obvious answer but, in view of the forecast rain, an interesting alternative is SAISISSANTE, who handled slow ground very well on the Flat in France. Swiss Money and Gifted Angel also showed more than enough on the Flat to suggest they can feature.

16:35 Stratford – Gouet Des Bruyeres (Daily Record)

Jet Of Dreams moves back up in trip after last month’s encouraging chasing debut and has plenty of scope for progress but preference is for GOUET DES BRUYERES, who was placed twice off a 2lb higher mark in May and can be forgiven last month’s lesser effort. If I Say is not one to rely upon but she bumped into an improver when second at Worcester last time and has claims if in similar form.

16:50 Perth – Fabuleux Du Clos (The Racing Post)

Petrastar’s fortunes changed for the better when he was upped to 3m over fences last time out. He needs plenty of respect but faces two rivals who could themselves find marked improvement now that they are given a first crack at this trip. They are Themanintheboots, who looked all about stamina when he asserted over 2m4f here three weeks ago, and FABULEUX DU CLOS who got competitive late in the day when he won over the same trip at Newcastle. The latter has less to prove in the mud, so he gets the call.
