This is a tricky race but I’ve landed on Badri as an each-way shout. You can forget his last run at Newcastle and Billy Loughnane is on board claiming 3lbs. He’s off a mark of 100 and that’s workable.
I like Isla Kai. He could be the pace in the race but he might end up staying in front off a mark of 92. He’s placed at York off 94 and 92 before. The key to him is the ground and he’s better when there’s a bit of cut in it.
I’m with Angel Bleu. Five of his last six wins have come in a field of nine runners or less. He was outclassed last time out in the Queen Anne at Royal Ascot but he can bounce back.
It’s a trappy race but I’ve landed on Regional. The ground could be a question mark but he’s on a hat-trick. He’s probably the best horse in the race so he’ll do me.
I’m interested in Lose Your Wad. He was too keen at Ascot last time out but he managed to finish sixth there. He’s dropped 2lbs and he’s off a mark of 89, which is very workable. He’s only had five career starts so he’s lightly raced. If he can settle better, he’s a good each-way shout.
I’ve landed on Majestic for Jack Channon with Connor Beasley on board. The handicapper has given him a chance off a mark of 92. He’s ground versatile so the weather is no issue.
City Of Troy impressed on his debut at the Curragh. He was very straightforward and he progressed into the race. Ryan Moore will ride him pretty handy and he looks the one to beat.
I’m going for One Evening in the Betting Without Hamish market. Hamish should take all the beating but I can’t get involved with him being odds-on. One Evening ran over this trip on her seasonal reappearance and she came on for that when finishing second at Pontefract last time out. She’s improving and she has plenty of upside.
This is a tricky race to call. Biggles and Lir Speciale caught my eye when looking at this. Biggles goes well with a cut in the ground so the more rain the better for him. Ryan Moore takes the ride too.
Lir Speciale has a chance even though he disappointed at Royal Ascot. He’s won a couple of races on the all-weather track at Kempton and he has a shout.
Kinross has drifted in so he’s not an each-way shout anymore but I still fancy him. He won a lot last season, including the Champions Sprint at Ascot. He finished seventh of 16 behind Khaadem in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee at Royal Ascot three weeks ago and he can build on that. The ground should suit him too.
