17:05 – Joy Choi

King Of Speed, Okeanos and My Genghis (preferred in that order) all have pretty good credentials but this might go to well-handicapped mare JOY CHOI, who signalled a return to form when fifth in higher-grade company at Newbury last week and ought to be suited by today’s move back up in trip.

17:40 – Hot Fuss

There should be a lot more to come from Mafnood, who made a very promising debut at Newbury, but this is a significant drop in grade for HOT FUSS, who ran commendably well in a Royal Ascot Listed race three weeks ago. Travolta is another key player, while Harvard Sound is perhaps the most interesting among the newcomers.

18:15 – Dubai Dreamer

The market will tell a tale in a weak-looking novice, with the ex-French Montauk Point returning from seven months off and only Ishani of the remainder having been involved in a finish thus far. Many A Year has possibilities on his belated debut but the Leicester maiden in which DUBAI DREAMER finished behind Grigio early last month may hold the key, with the Varian runner, who needed his debut experience that day, taken to reverse the placings.

18:45 – Photon

Alexandretta shaped well when placed twice on AW last September and will likely be popular but it’s taken a while to get her back to the track so she might be worth taking on with PHOTON, who shaped quite nicely when third at Kempton last month. Change Sings showed enough on the first of his two outings in Ireland to suggest he could also have a say now starting out for Eve Johnson Houghton.

19:15 – Mlle Chanel (NAP)

This competitive fillies’ handicap can go to MLLE CHANEL (nap), who ran a big race in defeat on her handicap debut at Ascot and is arguably fortunate to have emerged with an unchanged mark. C&D novice winner Mistral Star has an excellent pedigree and is feared most, although the forecast rain may not be in her favour. La Isla Mujeres is another handicap debutante with potential.

19:45 – Taswara

Brabusach has been knocking loudly on the door in recent weeks but one with some potential is TASWARA, who displayed her first significant promise when fourth on last month’s handicap debut and can better that performance if more settled in the early stages here. Flammable is not living up to her pedigree but it won’t be a surprise if she poses a potent threat on her handicap debut.

20:15 – Mr Freedom

The admirable Lexington Knight is more likely than most to give his running but a 5lb rise for his recent AW win leaves him looking vulnerable, and MR FREEDOM can make it nine wins under both codes in the space of around ten months. Soft going was no good to C’Mon Kenny last time and he’d also have claims if the ground is good or quicker.
