Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
WE GOT THIS looked potentially very useful when making a winning debut at Navan in March in a race that worked out well; clearly a very interesting runner.
Promising 2yo (2-2); had a 971-day spell on the sidelines afterwards but POTAPOVA confirmed she retained ability in Dubai this winter and she got back on the scoresheet with a cosy win at Musselburgh five weeks ago (7f, good to firm); penalised for that but still considered.
9yo who was well beaten on his final run last year and same story on comeback at Royal Ascot; however, that was a tough reappearance assignment and REDARNA‘s well treated on last season’s best form; this race two years ago is one of seven course victories and he’s capable of having a big say.
Has often flattered to deceive but RESTANDBETHANKFUL seemed to enjoy front-running role when clearcut same course and distance (C&D) (good) winner under Brian Hughes last month; his resolve might be more sternly tested if this race doesn’t pan out so favourably but a 4lb rise ought to be manageable.
