Emily Upjohn and Paddington are set to do their talking on the track in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown.

The Coronation Cup heroine and St James’s Palace Stakes scorer have been battling for favouritism in the build up to Saturday’s 15:40, where they will face just two other horses.

Dubai Honour makes his first appearance of the season in Britain after bagging Group 1 honours in Australia in the spring, while Group 3 winner West Wind Blows completes the field.

The latest Coral-Eclipse odds are on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise Timeform’s guide to the runners as well as betting tips from the racing boffins can be found below.

Coral-Eclipse tips

Timeform: Only four runners but still a fascinating Eclipse with a clash of the generations. EMILY UPJOHN proved herself to be a high-class filly when settling the Coronation Cup in a matter of strides on her return at Epsom 5 weeks ago and she can end the winning run of highly progressive 3-y-o Paddington, who’s running in his third Group 1 in the space of 6 weeks.

Coral-Eclipse runners

Dubai Honour

Trainer: William Haggas Jockey: Tom Marquand Age: 5 Weight: 9st 9lbs Draw: 1

Big improver over 1¼m at 3, winning pair of Group 2s in France and runner-up in Champion Stakes at Ascot. Failed to reach those levels last term but firmly back on track this season, winning a couple of Group 1s in Australia in the spring. Creditable third in Group 1 at Sha Tin since. Respected.

West Wind Blows

Trainer: Simon & Ed Crisford Jockey: Jamie Spencer Age: 4 Weight: 9st 9lbs Draw: 4

Landed a second 1¼m Longchamp Group 3 success of his career when seeing off 7 rivals last month. Good second in Hardwicke at Royal Ascot 2 weeks later but was seen to maximum effect. Up against it at this level.

Emily Upjohn

Trainer: John & Thady Gosden Jockey: William Buick Age: 4 Weight: 9st 6lbs Draw: 3

Most unlucky second in the Oaks last summer, stumbling at start and forced wide. Signed off for 2022 with an emphatic success in Fillies and Mares at Ascot before taking form to another level when making impressive winning return in Coronation Cup at Epsom. Drop back in trip not an issue. Big shout.

Trainer: Aidan O’Brien Jockey: Ryan Moore Age: 3 Weight: 8st 13lbs Draw: 2

Most progressive colt who took the big step up in class in his stride in the Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh. Produced a high-class effort to bring up the 4-timer this season in St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot 18 days ago. Will stay and obvious claims taking on elders for the first time.
