Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Absolute Ruler will be a tough nut to crack in this grade if somewhere close to his best but his finishing effort was somewhat tame here a week ago he is opposed with NO WAY PEDRO. Brian Barr’s 9yo kept on strongly to win a low-grade Worcester handicap on his recent stable debut and has a much better chance than the figures might suggest.
In an open handicap it could pay to go with GARDEN OASIS who has come right back to form recently. The progressive 3yos Ottoman Prince and Cancan In The Rain should also give a good account.
Last-time-out winners Well Done Dani and Pure Surf have obvious claims but there are some interesting alternatives. CAMILLA’S CHOICE signed off for John Hanlon with a good run in defeat over fences last month and is taken to make a winning stable debut. Methodtothemagic, who has also been chasing, has dropped to a tempting hurdle mark and is feared most.
The vote goes to FISCAL POLICY who has a solid record since being gelded, looked a shade unlucky on his latest start and remains open to further improvement. Kath’s Toyboy, who ties in with the selection on last-time-out running, is second choice ahead of the interesting Atomise. Last year’s winner Late Arrival and multiple course scorer Corinthia Knight are among several others who also have possibilities.
