However, up-and-coming 7yo NOAHTHIRTYTWORED kept on strongly to assert on the run-in at Newton Abbot last month and might still be well handicapped.

15:12 – Kinondo Kwetu

Improving KINONDO KWETU (nap) is taken to defy top weight and enhance his excellent strike-rate over fences. The return to Uttoxeter cements his good claims, given he is 2-2 here. Twig, another highly productive sort, is second choice on his return to chasing. The Abbey, an in-form contender who remains unexposed at 3m2f, is third choice. Ruthless Article, Jaytee and Cap Du Nord complete the shortlist.

15:52 – Sacre Coeur

Back up in distance, SACRE COEUR could well build on her Market Rasen effort and go one better. She looks the type to do well for her new stable this summer. Jet Of Magic, who looks interesting back from a break and debuting for Nigel Twiston-Davies, is second choice ahead of Merry Poppins.

16:25 – Faded Fantasy

Astromachia looks solid to play a very prominent role at the finish but he may still prove vulnerable to further improvement from the handicap hurdle debutant FADED FANTASY, who won a Southwell maiden in such good style last time. On recent evidence, Watergrange Jack is the most likely to figure among the rest.

17:00 – Cumhacht

In-form maiden CUMHACHT posted a solid effort last time, having travelled smoothly into contention, and looks poised to open his account back down in trip. Sir Canford (second choice) is interesting in this grade with his reappearance under his belt, while Vin Rouge, Tonto Foley, Rafiki and Andapa are others who need a look.
