20:00 – Solar Orbiter

18:20 – Queens Company

It’s reasonable to expect another good run from Bollin Margaret, who drops in grade here, but QUEEN’S COMPANY looked well suited by the step up to 1m2f when winning at Yarmouth last month and is taken to overcome a 4lb rise.

18:55 – Kokomo

Brian O’Rourke’s KOKOMO did not get home after tanking her way through a warm 7f Newbury novice six weeks ago but this race looks much less competitive and today’s drop back in trip might enable her to build upon a very promising debut at Newbury two starts ago. Bugle Beads needs to bounce back from a duff effort at Carlisle but could still have significant potential and is feared most. Kaidu ran very well over C&D last time and also features prominently in calculations.

19:30 – She Wore No Jewels

Tokyo Dreamer will be a tough nut to crack if her recent AW improvement can be reproduced on turf but SHE WORE NO JEWELS shaped as though today’s extra furlong will be in her favour when third on her Goodwood debut and might be the answer. There should be more to come from China Trade, while Alshinfarah is the most interesting among the newcomers.

20:00 – Solar Orbiter

The very lightly raced 4yo SOLAR ORBITER is open to further improvement for Roger Varian and is taken to make it three wins from four starts. Riot ran well when third of 16 at York last time and is second choice ahead of Mudamer, who also arrives on the back of a good run.

20:30 – Mattice

Good Earth, Cairn Gorm, As If By Chance and Treacherous all have something to recommend them but the two to appeal most are Ghathanfar and MATTICE. The selection ran his best race of the season at Beverley three weeks ago and is taken to record a second course win.

21:00 – Desert Voice

The only filly in the line-up, DESERT VOICE (nap), displayed a pretty good turn of foot inside the final furlong to assert at Yarmouth last month and, after only two runs, she should have further improvement to come. She gets the nod ahead of Concert Boy, who posted a good effort at Haydock when last in action. Northern Spirit is next on the list.
