Land Lover has some nice form in the book already including some in some hot races. Looks a smart type who can draw on previous experiences now and, although has a wide draw to contend with, he’s usually been sharp out the gates and that will help. This race should be easier and he’s a big player.
15:20 Carlisle – Soames Forsyte

Soames Forsyte appeared to find ten furlongs at Doncaster too far last time, weakening late on. The mile at Carlisle may suit him better and he is well drawn in stall 1 to be prominent throughout. Looks one who’s a bit of a bigger price than he should be and, although a 9 race maiden so far, there’s been some decent performances and he’s a winner in waiting.
15:50 Carlisle – Pillar Of Hope
1.5 points each way
Pillar Of Hope drops back into class 4 company here, a class he has a 67% strike rate in. He’s also 2/2 over today’s good ground and a further 50% strike rate over today’s trip so there is an awful lot to like about his chances here. Well drawn in stall 2 and usually ridden prominently. With Joe Fanning booked he’s going to have a great chance to impose himself on this race early doors. Trainer had a brilliant record when sending horses up here and he’s a very strong fancy today.
