Wednesday’s Lucky 15 Tips

15:50 Carlisle – Pillar Of Hope
16:20 Carlisle – Gibside
19:00 Naas – Library
19:50 Kempton – Molly Valentine

Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:50 Carlisle – Pillar Of Hope (Tipman)

PILLAR OF HOPE is a dual turf winner on good to soft (unraced on softer). Not far away in Redcar’s always-strong Zetland Gold Cup (1m2f, good to firm) a month ago and returning to a stiff mile is no bad thing.

16:20 Carlisle – Gibside (Farringdon)

GIBSIDE bagged two 1m4f wins on good ground at Ripon last summer. While soft ground may not suit, he hit a new high when winning seven-runner race over C&D nine days ago on good to soft, leading over 1f out. Did it in tidy style (from Graces Quest) and looks a player under 5lb penalty.

19:00 Naas – Library (Lawrence Taylor)

LIBRARY has fair form at two, highlighted by Tipperary maiden win and second in a 7f Listed contest at Leopardstown. Seasonal return in Group 3 event at Saint-Cloud was inconclusive. Jury still out following fourth in Group 3 event at Cork in which she fared better than shorter-priced stablemate Lambada.

19:50 Kempton – Molly Valentine (Chris Wright)

MOLLY VALENTINE won a Lingfield maiden (6f, Polytrack) last December and a Nottingham handicap (1m, soft) in April. Beaten less than 2l into third of 11 over C&D three weeks ago and although the first two were well beaten in handicaps at Royal Ascot, the fifth horse has won since.
